Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

The short version: Weather.Co collects your location only to fetch weather data, doesn't create accounts, doesn't run analytics or ad SDKs, doesn't sell or share data with brokers, and stores your favorites and preferences locally on your device.

What we collect

Weather.Co collects your device's location (latitude and longitude) solely to retrieve weather data from third-party services. Your coordinates are transmitted to Open-Meteo, RainViewer, AccuWeather, Iowa Environmental Mesonet (Iowa State University), NOAA, the National Weather Service, the Aviation Weather Center, and the FAA to fulfill weather requests. Nationwide AIRMET and SIGMET advisories are fetched without location filtering to provide a complete safety picture.

Third-party services that receive your coordinates

The following providers receive lat/lon to return weather information. No identifying information is sent.

What we don't collect

Weather.Co does not create user accounts, collect personal information, use analytics or advertising SDKs, or share data with data brokers. Favorite locations and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard system storage and are never transmitted to any server.

Public rating display on this website

The Weather.Co product page on kuhlman-co.com displays the App Store star rating and number of ratings. This data is fetched server-side from Apple's public iTunes Search API using only the App Store ID — no personal information about you is sent or received as part of this lookup. The result is cached for one hour to minimize requests to Apple. This applies only to the marketing website, not the app itself.

Your choices

You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Weather.Co → Location. You can disable push notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → Weather.Co. Either choice may limit App functionality but won't prevent you from using the App.

Children's privacy

Weather.Co does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
